Have you ever wondered why your life seems to demand more from you than it does from other people?
You work, endure, reflect, and yet it feels as if you were born into a version of life permanently set to hard mode. From the perspective I have gained through years of channelling work, this does not necessarily mean you are failing, broken, or less capable than others. In many cases, it suggests something more intentional: before birth, the soul may participate in shaping the intensity of the life it is about to enter.

Karma Is Not Your Sentence. It’s Your Starting Point.
Before going further, it helps to distinguish two ideas that are often confused: karma and life intensity.
Karma refers to the inner patterns a soul carries across time—repeated ways of thinking, reacting, and perceiving that gradually shape a person’s choices and experiences. In other words, karma is an internal momentum built from accumulated habits of consciousness.
Life intensity, on the other hand, describes how challenging a particular lifetime is designed to be. It reflects how much growth, healing, or transformation a soul intends to address during a single incarnation.
These two are related, but they are not the same. A person may carry strong karmic patterns yet choose a gentler life focused on recovery. Another may have relatively light karma but enter a demanding life in order to accelerate growth. Understanding this distinction makes the rest of the discussion much clearer.
Every Choice You Make Is an Old Habit Wearing a New Face
Over years of spiritual work, I have come to see karma not as cosmic punishment, but as accumulated inner momentum. The word itself originally points to action, yet action never appears on its own. It rises from thought, and thought, when repeated often enough, becomes a pattern. A pattern becomes a tendency, a tendency shapes choice, and repeated choices begin to look like fate. What many people call destiny is often just the persuasive power of an old inner habit.
If someone carries the deep assumption, “I am not truly lovable,” that belief does not remain abstract. It influences whom they trust, what they tolerate, what they expect, and what they unconsciously recreate. The same emotional architecture returns in different forms until it is seen clearly. In this sense, karma is not an external sentence imposed on us by the universe. It is a recurring structure of consciousness that continues across lifetimes until it is transformed.
Destiny Is Not Random. It Was Drawn Around Your Soul’s Intention.
From what I have perceived in channelling sessions, the soul often recognises these patterns after death and forms a new intention before returning. It does not simply wish for a random new life. It chooses a direction: what it hopes to heal, what kind of happiness it was unable to embody before, and what inner distortions it wants to outgrow. What we call destiny is the pathway designed around that intention, and guiding beings help the soul remain oriented toward it after birth, when conscious memory is gone.
Not Everyone Enrolled in the Same Curriculum
This is why not everyone experiences the same amount of difficulty. Just as athletes train at different levels depending on what they hope to become, souls do not all choose the same curriculum. Some choose stability, family, and emotional restoration. Others choose accelerated growth through challenge. A difficult life does not prove spiritual superiority, but it may reflect a more demanding syllabus, one designed for faster transformation rather than immediate ease.
Your Life Was Not an Accident. It Was a Negotiation.
In many sessions, I perceive a kind of pre-birth consultation. The soul reviews prior experience and asks: Which patterns am I ready to heal? Which qualities do I want to strengthen? How much intensity can I realistically sustain?
The life plan that follows is not arbitrary. It is a negotiated balance between growth and survivability, and it may include choices about one’s family, one’s guides, and the kinds of experiences most likely to awaken what still lies dormant.
Heavy Karma Is Not a Punishment. It’s a Higher Level of Play
Seen this way, so-called heavy karma and light karma are not moral rankings. They are different levels of life intensity. A high-intensity life may include recurring relational pain, lack of recognition despite effort, sudden losses, unusual emotional sensitivity, or the feeling of being tested again and again. A lower-intensity life may bring steadier relationships, emotional calm, smoother financial flow, and fewer dramatic disruptions. Neither is inherently better. One tends to accelerate transformation; the other allows integration, recovery, and peace.
Not All Suffering Comes From the Same Place
Not all hardship, however, comes from the same source. Some souls choose a demanding life intentionally. Some carry unresolved consequences from prior harmful actions, which can limit their freedom in how much ease they are able to claim. And some suffer not because their karma is especially heavy, but because their soul-origin is slightly out of tune with human life on Earth. I find it helpful to distinguish these carefully, because without that distinction, all suffering gets flattened into a single explanation.
Some Souls Were Never Fully Human to Begin With
There are also souls whose previous form of existence was not primarily human. In my work, this includes angelic, elemental, and what many would call starseed origins.
These lives do not always follow the same karmic logic. Some seem to enter human incarnation under stricter conditions, with less personal say in the level of challenge they must endure. Others, especially starseeds, may carry relatively light karma and yet still experience life as difficult because their body, nervous system, and values are not fully adapted to the density of the collective human field. In such cases, suffering comes less from karmic burden than from misalignment.
Good Intentions Won’t Save You If the Pattern Is Still Running
This is also why karma does not disappear simply because a person wishes to be good.
Repeated thought-patterns are often unconscious, and human society reinforces them through trauma, competition, inequality, and cultural conditioning.
Forced goodness does not dissolve karma if the underlying structure remains unchanged.
In my experience, karma softens through honest self-observation, conscious intention, repeated correction of harmful inner patterns, and careful listening to intuition. As these patterns loosen, life usually becomes more stable, and happiness feels less like a distant reward and more like a natural state.
When the Lesson Is Learned, Life Stops Fighting You
From a wider spiritual perspective, all evolution moves from inner chaos toward greater harmony. No human being is entirely free of karma.
Only perfectly harmonised consciousness would be free of all distortion. But a lifetime is not meant to resolve everything at once. What matters is not clearing every layer, but recognising what this particular life was designed to address. There comes a stage when the soul no longer needs to prove itself through suffering. Ease is not failure. Stability is not laziness. Peace is not spiritual regression. Sometimes a simpler life is the sign that a lesson has already been learned.
You Were Never Cursed. You Were Just Built for Something Harder.
If your life has felt unusually difficult, it does not necessarily mean you are cursed. It may mean you chose growth, or that your soul is trying to complete a deeper pattern than the one visible on the surface. And if you have always felt out of place, that does not necessarily mean you are broken. It may mean your soul remembers a different kind of home. In my sessions, I connect directly with a person’s guiding presence to explore the origin of the soul, the themes carried across lifetimes, and whether one is living through heavy karma, light karma, or misalignment. For many people, simply understanding the design behind their struggle brings relief.
Once you understand the architecture of your life, you can stop fighting it and begin walking with it.
